What a hidden treasure this seafood shop is! My most recent purchase was smoked black cod for my Mom's 91st birthday. The delicately poached meaty flakes of buttery goodness just melted in our mouths. My next visit will be to satisfy a hankering for the fresh crab and oysters I saw while shopping for black cod. Five solid stars, fair & square!
I went there today and bought some groceries. As usual the seafood here was very fresh, tasty and fair value for my hard earned money . I really like this business and always see lots of customers coming and going. I like that also as it creates high food turnover ensuring me that freshness I like. The staff are honest with the weigh scale, very knowledgeable about all thier products and always pleasing to speak with. This business is an asset to our community of Duncan, and I feel that we are lucky to have them here. Today I bought Smoked Tuna lox, Fresh never frozen Arctic Char straight flown in from the Yukon , Smoked Spring Salmon and Sesame Seaweed salad. A tasty and friendly experience. Bought some amazing fresh halibut and salmon for supper and even picked up some smoked salmon and canned mussels to bring home to Hanna, Alberta. We ended the visit by placing a pin on the map. I might just confess to eating one of the cans of mussels in the car with my fingers upon leaving the store. If you're in the area, drop in. You won't regret it!
I had never had Dungeoness Crab, and wanted to try it, so on our trip to Nanoose Bay, we stopped by. Owner was very helpful in explaining how to cook it. It was great, but I actually enjoyed his smoked salmon better. He has several "flavors" of smoked salmon, we got the "Mad Dog Mix" flavor, he said it was most people's favorite. YUM YUM YUM. I could eat it all day, it was so good.

Hands down the best smoked salmon. We go out of our way every time we head to the island, just to come here. Smoked salmon is perfect and cold smoked tuna is also perfect. Yum
